Stacey brought Braden and Kara out for a spring-break visit, a great opportunity since the kid's were not tied up with soccer games and other activities. The weather was perfect and so was their visit; great fun seeing them enjoy a bit of life in the country, and being a special part of their lives. I'm already looking forward to their next visit and plotting some new adventures for them.
In case you can't figure out tho last photo, Braden is building a goal post on the deck by our pond. Just amazing to see how his mind works!
We had a big windstorm in Wimberley last week which did lots of damage to trees, roofs, and weaker buildings. Although we lost three good sized tress at our place, we felt pretty lucky since this one pictured could have easily done some real damage to our front porch. Or to the garage in the other direction. Luckily it fell in the perfect place where it was also easy to chainsaw into firewood.
"Chainsaw" for getting work done and achieving a sense of accomplishment. "Yogi" for slowing down, being at peace, and appreciating the beauty of life.
