Let the tile work begin!

Vanessa and I got the guest house shower walls started a few days ago with this cement backer board.  This job is so much easier with a helper; thanks Vanessa!  Next step is installing the 12" white ceramic tiles.

Ship Shape

After months of working on this ship-ladder to access the guest room loft, I finally got it installed.  Many thanks to my buddy Mark Danna who worked with me in his garage many a weekend to get it done.  He's got the fancy-smancy woodworking equipment that I don't have to make some of the ladder parts.  Like the many precise mortise and tendon joints in very hard white oak for the ladder rungs.  Thanks Mark!
